Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

As a Supervisor at Sushi Art Restaurant, you will be a pivotal member of the management team, overseeing both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations. Your leadership and communication skills will help maintain a smooth, efficient dining experience for guests while ensuring high service standards and food quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and motivate FOH and BOH staff, set performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Maintain exceptional guest experiences by managing service flow, addressing complaints promptly and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation, taste and overall service standards.
• Oversee cleanliness, hygiene and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages and supplies, place orders and monitor stock levels to minimise waste.
• Supervise cash handling procedures, perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Enforce health, safety and food safety regulations, conducting regular safety checks.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of front‑of‑house operations and sequence of service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and customers.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Prior supervisory experience in a high‑volume restaurant, preferably with Japanese cuisine knowledge.
