About the role
The Support Sales Assistant ensures a clean, tidy, and shoppable store environment at ACE Hardware, Motor City. You will enhance the customer experience, drive sales through product knowledge and recommendations, and collaborate with internal teams to optimise store operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑level customer service, advising shoppers on product categories and driving add‑on sales.
- Receive, display and ticket merchandise accurately, ensuring prompt availability and correct pricing.
- Apply merchandising principles to maintain an appealing store layout and initiate cleaning programmes for assigned departments.
- Assist with stock‑takes, new store openings, product launches and seasonal events as required.
Required profile
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience with a focus on customer service and merchandising.
- Detail‑oriented, able to manage tasks with precision in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply product knowledge.
