Rooms Technician

About the role

The Rooms Technician supports the hotel's facilities team by installing, moving, and maintaining data and power cabling systems. The role ensures that network infrastructure meets performance standards and that guest areas remain functional and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with facilities staff and guests to understand and fulfill cabling requirements.
• Plan and coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot network data issues and resolve non‑routine problems.
• Complete trouble tickets within defined service level agreements.
• Maintain order and compliance of data network closets and work areas.
• Support special events, large moves, and project work as requested.
• Maintain inventory of technology devices and materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CAT 5 cabling standards.
• Experience with fiber optic cabling.
• Understanding of power cabling capacities and standards.
• Network data troubleshooting skills.
