Safety and Security Lead

About the role

Careem is seeking a Safety and Security Lead to oversee the safety of Captains, customers and employees across its platform in the United Arab Emirates. The role is central to day‑to‑day safety operations, ensuring incidents are managed quickly, consistently and with empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily safety operations in line with established policies and SOPs.
• Serve as the first point of coordination for safety incidents, triaging, logging and managing cases from intake to resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely escalations and closures within defined service level agreements.
• Provide support to Captains and customers involved in incidents, offering empathetic communication and coordinating assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve safety processes and make Careem the safest platform in the region.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathy and customer care.
• Proven ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously and meet SLA targets.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, operational environments, preferably in mobility or logistics.
