Safety Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Safety Compliance Specialist at palliative bsbl works remotely on a part‑time basis, ensuring safe and compliant operations across the organisation. You will monitor safety practices, review policies, and support the implementation of environment, health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate safety practices and compliance across all activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and review incident reports.
• Advise on corrective and preventive actions and prepare clear documentation for leadership and regulators.
• Coordinate virtual safety trainings and provide guidance to team members on best practices.
• Stay up‑to‑date with applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in Health & Safety and Occupational Health.
• Proficiency in EHS frameworks, risk assessment, compliance monitoring and safety program implementation.
• Experience delivering safety training and facilitating remote sessions.
• Accident investigation skills, including root‑cause analysis and incident documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate with virtual teams.
• Relevant certification or coursework (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) preferred; healthcare or palliative‑care experience is a plus.
