Safety Officer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Safety Officer to join its Safety team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. You will work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment, supporting the Safety Manager/Specialist in maintaining the highest safety standards across airline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Safety Manager/Specialist in reviewing and closing safety reports.
• Investigate incidents and accidents involving Emirates operations in line with internal and external regulations.
• Prepare investigation reports that identify root causes, systemic hazards and provide corrective recommendations.
• Collect and coordinate information from operational departments during formal safety investigations.
• Liaise with operations to ensure timely provision of documentation and corrective actions.
• Assist the Safety Promotions team in developing safety awareness training and communication materials.
• Participate in safety campaigns to increase awareness across the organisation.
• Analyse safety data, produce statistical summaries and highlight significant trends for the Safety Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum of 60 months (5 years) experience in aviation safety or related fields.
• Familiarity with airline operations, modern aircraft configurations and associated technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
