Sake Sommelier & Assistant Restaurant Manager (Japanese)

About the role

One&Only Resorts is seeking a bilingual Sake Sommelier who will also support the restaurant as an Assistant Manager. The role combines expertise in Japanese sake with strong operational leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences at the One&Only The Palm resort.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with budgeting, profitability, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Maintain service standards, staff punctuality, and compliance with company policies.
• Support recruitment, training, scheduling and daily briefings for the restaurant team.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and foster positive guest‑team relationships.
• Oversee inventory, cost‑saving measures, and month‑end financial procedures.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and local licensing compliance.
• Collaborate with kitchen, marketing and other departments on promotions, seasonal menus and guest feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or food‑and‑beverage operations.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and communication abilities.
• Proven track record in budgeting, inventory management and cost control.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Experience using restaurant management software.
