About the role

The Sales Assistant plays a key role in driving sales and improving the customer experience inside the store. The person creates a welcoming atmosphere, gives customers efficient and knowledgeable service and keeps the store's presentation and cleanliness standards. The role suits someone with a proactive attitude who can engage customers and aim to increase sales and build repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every customer warmly as soon as they enter the store and give them current, relevant product information.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, keep the cash wrap clean and record customer information in the database.
• Deliver quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers promptly and try to add on to the sale.
• Thank customers sincerely as they leave and invite them back.
• Maintain a clean, organised store and follow the visual presentation standards set by store management.
• Follow the dress code to make a good first impression.

Required profile

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift some heavy items and stand for at least 8 hours.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling.
• Customer-focused approach with attention to detail.
