Sales Engineer – Machinery Division

About the role

Universal Trading Company LLC (UTC) is expanding its Machinery Division and is looking for experienced Sales Engineers to support its growing industrial equipment business. UTC is an established machinery supplier and an authorized DEUTZ AG and KOMAC Forklifts dealership, offering engines, spare parts, generators and industrial equipment solutions. The role combines technical expertise with commercial sales skills to develop new business, strengthen customer relationships and meet sales targets across assigned territories.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers, business opportunities and sales channels within assigned territories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and client visits.
• Conduct market research, customer visits and business development activities to expand the customer base.
• Promote diesel engines, spare parts, generators, compressors, forklifts and other industrial machinery solutions.
• Prepare quotations, respond to customer inquiries and follow up on sales opportunities through to completion.
• Negotiate commercial terms and recommend suitable machinery solutions based on customer requirements.
• Monitor sales performance and work toward achieving assigned targets and business objectives.

Required profile

• Diploma level qualification; engineering background, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven sales experience in industrial machinery, engines, generators, compressors, forklifts or related equipment.
• Experience in technical sales, business development, customer relationship management, quotations and sales negotiations.
• Familiarity with the UAE industrial market and an established customer network are advantages.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of industrial machinery, diesel engines, generators, spare parts and equipment applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building and commercial problem-solving skills.
