Sales Executive (Events) - Luxury Collection Resort

About the role

A full-time, non-management Sales Executive (Events) position at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, located on Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Street in Ajman, UAE. The role covers guest service, reservations and sales support within the Sales & Marketing function.

Key responsibilities

• Contact the right person or department to resolve guest calls, requests or problems, and use sales techniques that maximise revenue while keeping existing guests loyal to Marriott, including up-selling.
• Determine and give complimentary gifts to guests for their patronage, such as rewards points, show tickets or gift certificates.
• Promote awareness of the brand image internally and externally, and process requests to redeem Marriott Rewards points.
• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail, enter Marriott Rewards information into the reservation software, and answer, record and process guest calls, requests and concerns.
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing, such as filing, sending emails, typing and faxing.
• Assist management in training and motivating employees and act as a role model.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs and thank them sincerely.
• Follow company policies, keep a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and speak clearly and professionally.
• Support the team, monitor colleagues' performance against quality standards, and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
