Sales Supervisor - Retail (Toys 'R' Us, Mercato Mall)

About the role

The Sales Supervisor coordinates and oversees the shop floor at Toys 'R' Us in Mercato Mall, bridging the gap between sales staff and store management. The role covers client relationship building, business objectives, store operations, leadership and high standards of store presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in building long-term client relationships and using clienteling tools, and help them develop product knowledge.
• Assist store management with reporting, sales analysis and product training.
• Oversee the shop floor so that coverage is maximised during peak trading periods, acting as a sales leader for the team.
• Supervise opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, bank deposits and securing the facility.
• Process POS transactions accurately and manage inventory functions such as transfers, receiving, repairs and damages.
• Ensure adherence to loss prevention policies and operational procedures.
• Resolve customer complaints, exchanges and inquiries, and act as a liaison between staff and management on performance concerns.
• Propose and implement action plans for efficient store processes, and educate the team on sales plans, personal sales goals and KPIs.
• Maintain store presentation standards and act as an ambassador of the brand.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail or hospitality as a senior sales representative or supervisor.
• Proficiency in business English (written and verbal).
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
