Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence Manager

About the role

A leading digital bank is looking for a Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence Manager, advertised by Envision Employment Solutions. The role owns the framework that prevents prohibited relationships: screening, watch lists, escalation of potential matches and the team that runs it every day. It is an on-site position in the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Sanctions team, including work allocation, performance management and staff development
• Maintain the Sanctions & TFS framework in line with regulatory requirements
• Oversee sanctions screening and related controls across customers, transactions and other applicable parties
• Oversee the management and maintenance of sanctions and watch lists, including timely updates
• Oversee the performance of sanctions screening systems and controls
• Oversee the assessment and escalation of potential sanctions matches and related cases
• Monitor sanctions risk exposure and the effectiveness of controls
• Identify sanctions risks, emerging developments and typologies, and feed sanctions risk into new products and services
• Maintain sanctions records, reporting and regulatory correspondence, and escalate material risks

Required profile

• 7+ years of financial crime/AML experience, with significant experience in sanctions, TFS and sanctions screening, including supervisory or management experience
• Relevant AML/financial crime or sanctions qualification preferred
