Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence Manager

About the role

A leading digital bank is recruiting a Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence Manager through Envision Employment Solutions. The role owns the framework that prevents prohibited relationships: screening, watch lists, escalation of potential matches and the team that runs it every day. It is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Sanctions team, including work allocation, performance management and staff development
• Maintain the Sanctions & TFS framework in line with regulatory requirements
• Oversee sanctions screening and related controls across customers, transactions and other applicable parties
• Oversee the management and maintenance of sanctions and watch lists, and the effectiveness of screening systems
• Oversee the assessment and escalation of potential sanctions matches and related cases
• Monitor sanctions risk exposure and identify emerging risks, typologies and developments
• Give sanctions risk input to new products, services and material changes
• Maintain sanctions records, reporting and regulatory correspondence, and escalate material risks

Required profile

• 7+ years of financial crime/AML experience, with significant sanctions, TFS and screening experience, including supervisory or management experience
• Relevant AML/financial crime or sanctions qualification preferred
• Ability to escalate borderline matches quickly and explain decisions clearly to regulators
