SAP Basis Senior Consultant

About the role

An SAP Basis Senior Consultant is needed in Dubai, working hands-on with SAP S/4 HANA and ECC systems. The role covers system administration, upgrades, security, audits and L2 support, with a requirement of 6 to 8 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain application servers, schedule background jobs, troubleshoot and monitor system and database performance
• Handle client administration (creation, copy, deletion, export/import), transport setup and change request management
• Install R/3 and Java-based systems on Unix and Windows, configure logical systems and logon load balancing
• Apply support packages, database patches and client updates; apply SAP license notes
• Implement Solution Manager 7.2, SAP Content Server, MaxDB, SSO certificates, Web Dispatcher and SAP Router
• Perform system refresh and copy activities with HANA, and document security policies and procedures
• Conduct quarterly and yearly internal and external audits, close audit points and plan upgrades (ECC SPS/EHP, NetWeaver via SUM)
• Provide L2 support, IDOC monitoring, log management and coordinate with end users and functional and technical consultants

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in SAP BASIS
• At least one full life-cycle implementation project (Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live)
• SAP migration experience and hands-on SAP S/4 HANA basis administration
• Knowledge of SAP ECC SPS, EHP and NetWeaver upgrades using SUM
• Awareness of SOX compliance and EWA review recommendations

• Linux and Windows, plus SAP Security activities
• SAP Fiori, BO, BODS administration and incident/change management tools
• Portal, Gateway and WebDispatcher knowledge
