Sea Freight Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sea Freight Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands‑on sea freight forwarding experience within the UAE and a solid client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end sea freight operations including booking, scheduling, and coordination with carriers, shipping lines, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage all relevant shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight agents, and clients to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively developing new business opportunities from your own portfolio.
• Monitor shipment schedules, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, carrier schedules, freight rates, and local regulations.
• Ensure proper application of Incoterms in all shipments and transactions.
• Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sea freight forwarding operations within Dubai, UAE.
• Existing client portfolio is mandatory.
• In‑depth knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and Incoterms.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with freight forwarding software/tools.
