Secondary Teacher of French or Spanish

About the role

Safa Community School is seeking a dynamic and passionate specialist to teach French or Spanish to secondary students. The successful candidate will work across the full age and ability range, delivering GCSE and A‑Level programmes in a vibrant, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons in French or Spanish for secondary year groups.
• Set, mark and record student work, providing timely feedback.
• Use data to monitor progress and implement interventions where needed.
• Prepare students for public examinations and manage related assessment processes.
• Communicate regularly with parents, including report writing and attendance at evenings.
• Maintain classroom discipline and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events and policy development.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching French or Spanish at secondary level.
• Ability to teach across GCSE and A‑Level curricula.
• Strong organisational and data‑driven teaching skills.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to the school’s inclusive ethos.
