Senior Account Executive – South Africa Startups

About the role

Cloudflare is seeking a senior Account Executive to join its Digital Natives team in Dubai, focusing on enterprise‑level customers in South Africa. The role drives revenue growth through full‑cycle sales, from prospecting new logos to expanding existing accounts, and positions Cloudflare as a key enabler of digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory and account plans to exceed multi‑million‑dollar quotas, emphasizing new business acquisition and expansion.
• Lead complex sales cycles, manage a strategic pipeline, and deliver accurate forecasts to senior leadership.
• Deeply understand customer IT architectures and map them to Cloudflare Reference Architectures to close large‑scale platform deals.
• Coordinate virtual teams of specialists—including product managers, deal desk, and legal—to drive deals to closure.
• Articulate compelling value propositions that link Cloudflare services to customer business outcomes and strategic objectives.

Required profile

• 8+ years of B2B enterprise technology sales experience with a proven record of exceeding multi‑million‑dollar quotas.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong ability to engage C‑suite and senior technical leaders across complex organizations.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading virtual cross‑functional teams to close complex deals.
