Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounts

About the role

The client is a cable manufacturing company in Dubai seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, banking activities, and monthly financial reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting practices within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify purchase invoices for raw materials, consumables, packing materials and CAPEX, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Manage customer invoicing, monitor receivables, follow up overdue payments and maintain customer accounts.
• Handle bank payments and receipts, perform regular bank reconciliations and record all banking transactions.
• Coordinate letters of credit and bank guarantees with banks, including issuance, amendments and renewals.
• Prepare cash‑flow and fund‑flow statements, support working‑capital planning and produce monthly MIS reports.
• Assist in month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing, ledger scrutiny and balance‑sheet schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional qualifications are a plus.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, trading or industrial businesses.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, LC/BG, cash‑flow management and month‑end closing.
• Experience with material accounting, inventory reconciliation and manufacturing‑related financial transactions.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookup functions and PivotTables.
• Ability to prepare financial reports, MIS dashboards and management presentations.
