Accountant

About the role

Dubai Sports City is looking for an experienced Accountant with a background in the hospitality industry to join its finance team. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, process financial transactions and prepare invoices, payment requests and receipts.
• Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare financial reports and revenue reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and UAE VAT regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support financial operations and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, daily financial transactions, revenue reconciliation and UAE VAT requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Micros and Concept (advantageous).
