Senior Accountant Finance & Reporting

About the role

Al Marwan Group, a diversified organization operating across construction, heavy machinery, oil & gas, real estate, development and hospitality in the GCC, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting. The role involves end‑to‑end accounting operations, financial reporting and analysis within its real‑estate development activities in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Maintain and review the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions, pre‑payments and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Produce budget‑vs‑actual reports, variance analysis and financial performance reports for management.
• Monitor and account for real‑estate development project costs, revenues and related financial transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT requirements and internal financial policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 + years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with a real‑estate developer in the UAE (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
