Senior Accounts Officer

About the role

The Senior Accounts Officer will lead daily accounting operations for Blue Ocean Corporation in Dubai. This position ensures accurate processing of transactions, compliance with UAE VAT regulations, and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial statements, and management reports.
• Support the preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns.
• Coordinate finance‑related matters with suppliers, customers, banks, and internal departments.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE accounting practices and VAT compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, or Oracle.
