Senior AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join EDGE’s AI/Computer Vision team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on developing next‑generation AI solutions for real‑time, embedded and autonomous systems, supporting advanced aerospace and defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate AI/ML and computer‑vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, recognition and classification on edge platforms.
• Implement production‑quality software in C++ and Python, deploy and optimise models on GPUs and embedded hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson.
• Integrate AI solutions with sensors, embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces, and perform verification, testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to system architecture and major programme milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related field.
• 8–10+ years of hands‑on engineering experience with strong C++ and Python programming.
• Proven experience delivering AI/ML and computer‑vision solutions in real‑time or embedded environments.
• Familiarity with safety‑critical development processes and standards.
