Senior Associate – Legal

About the role

The Senior Associate – Legal will support Modon’s legal function across corporate, commercial, real‑estate and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with UAE, ADGM/DIFC and GCC legal frameworks. The role acts as a business enabler while safeguarding legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the group legal strategy and governance frameworks, preparing legal memoranda and board materials.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts such as development, construction, leasehold, FM and consultancy agreements; maintain contract templates and improve management processes.
• Support regulatory compliance and licensing for real‑estate ownership, registration and land matters across UAE mainland and free zones.
• Manage disputes, litigation and arbitration with external counsel, preparing briefs, case summaries and tracking claims.
• Collaborate with development, asset management, finance and ESG teams, providing legal training and embedding legal considerations in projects.
• Oversee external counsel relationships, budgeting and deliverable tracking, and contribute to legal tech adoption.
• Assist the General Counsel in structuring and executing M&A, real‑estate investments, partnerships and financing transactions, including post‑transaction implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s or postgraduate degree preferred.
• Admission to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction; UAE legal experience preferred.
• 6–8 years post‑qualification experience in corporate/commercial law, real‑estate, regulatory and transactional matters.
• Fluent English; Arabic a plus.
