Senior Associate / VP - Product Owner, AI Enablement

About the role

Mubadala Investment Corporation (MIC) has set up an AI Enablement Unit to define and implement an AI strategy and embed AI across the organisation. This Product Owner connects the business with AI delivery, turning business needs into agent-based workflow designs and coordinating delivery through proprietary build, low-code or citizen self-development. The role sits in a matrix structure, working with AI Strategy & Transformation, the AI PMO, AI Product leads, the AI Lab and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Work with business users to map investment processes and redesign them around agent-based workflows
• Write workflow specifications covering agent roles, tasks, decision points, data sources and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
• Choose the delivery path (proprietary build, low-code or citizen self-development) based on complexity, risk, scale and value
• Act as the main link between business owners, AI Product leads, the AI Lab and engineering, keeping priorities and acceptance criteria clear
• Support a business developer community with templates, reusable agent patterns and guidance on escalation
• Drive reuse and standards by collecting and sharing reusable agents, prompts, connectors and patterns
• Apply guardrails, data access controls, human-in-the-loop flows and AI policy compliance across all delivery paths
• Run intake, prioritisation and progress tracking, manage dependencies and keep the portfolio visible
• Run discovery workshops, hackathons and training, and measure value with KPIs such as cycle time, hours saved, adoption and $ impact

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in an investment company, private equity firm, sovereign wealth fund or due diligence advisory practice
• Minimum 3+ years in AI transformation, in product or transformation roles connecting business to tech, with AI process redesign and implementation in complex organisations
• Demonstrated application of AI across the investment lifecycle
• Proven experience translating business needs into technically actionable scope and requirements
• Experience overseeing progress against roadmaps, tracking milestones, dependencies and capacity, and managing risks and issues across complex programmes
• Experience presenting portfolio status, risks and trade-offs to senior leadership and governance forums

Required skills

• Working knowledge of APIs, relational and non-relational databases, programming languages and modern libraries
• Practical knowledge of AI skills, agents, plugins and MCP integration
• Ability to build realistic, dependency-aware roadmaps and make portfolio recommendations
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with product, business and delivery teams
