Senior Buyer – Fashion Retail

About the role

The Senior Buyer will lead the selection and acquisition of fashion and homeware merchandise for BFL Group, an off‑price retailer operating across the UAE and Southeast Asia. The role focuses on curating a profitable product mix, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely stock availability to support the company’s “Treasure Hunt” retail model.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse files to calculate accurate pricing and determine an optimal product mix.
• Submit, track and manage purchase orders to ensure timely processing and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and meet product specifications.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with suppliers for consistent product availability.
• Develop and adjust competitive pricing strategies aligned with market demands.
• Plan and monitor inventory levels to avoid overstock or stockouts.
• Collaborate with Category Managers to review new offers and ensure product selection meets market demand.
• Compile and present product performance and sales statistics for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Stay updated on fashion brands and industry trends to inform buying decisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date buying spreadsheets and product documentation.
• Communicate with cross‑functional teams and support warehouse operations as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in buying, supplier negotiation and product assortment management.
• Strong analytical ability to assess pricing, product mix and inventory levels.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with Category Managers and other internal teams.
• Ability to monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
