Senior Buyer

About the role

The Boring Company is seeking a Senior Buyer to support its Dubai operations, managing procurement for tunneling projects and ensuring cost‑effective sourcing of critical equipment and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with project managers and engineers to develop efficient, cost‑effective solutions for construction challenges.
• Create comprehensive cost estimates to drive decision‑making and negotiate contracts with key suppliers.
• Execute purchase orders, manage delivery logistics, and act as the primary contact for Dubai‑based suppliers.
• Source critical items, coordinate with field engineers and technicians, and manage rental equipment utilization.
• Resolve invoice issues, monitor inventory counts of tunneling supplies, and support the development of purchasing systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in engineering, business, supply chain or a related field.
• At least 5 years of buying/procurement experience with tunnel boring machines (TBMs) and associated parts.
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
