Senior Buyer – Strategic Procurement (Aviation)

About the role

The Senior Buyer – Strategic Procurement leads end‑to‑end planning, budgeting and execution of Used Serviceable Material (USM) and surplus processes for V2500 engine parts. The role combines sourcing, teardown oversight and inventory optimisation to maximise the value of used engine assets.

Key responsibilities

• Procure used and surplus IAE V2500 engine components, negotiate acquisitions and ensure all certifications and traceability documentation are complete.
• Develop and manage a global supplier network, identify teardown opportunities and maintain relationships with lessors, asset owners and part‑out vendors.
• Maintain a structured inventory database, monitor stock levels against demand forecasts and identify resale opportunities for overstocked parts.
• Own valuation models that incorporate configuration, SB/AD compliance, remaining LLP cycles, repair costs and market values, and adjust strategies to meet financial targets.
• Enter procurement data into the ERP system (Oracle), generate PO status reports and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field; CIPS or CPSM certification is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of strategic or operational procurement experience in aviation, aerospace or MRO, with a proven record of supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP and familiarity with procurement analytics tools.
