Senior Commissioning Manager – PMC (Office Based)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Manager to lead mechanical commissioning activities for the UZ Islands project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing the transition from construction to commissioning, ensuring compliance with client objectives and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate EPC contractors from construction through commissioning, ensuring timely work order completion.
• Review and enforce construction/installation plans, procedures, and requirements to guarantee constructability and compliance with EPC scope.
• Supervise and inspect EPC contractor and subcontractor work on‑site, maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Identify construction slippage, propose corrective actions, and support change management processes.
• Participate in HSE improvement activities and promote safety throughout construction development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of oil and gas industry experience, including at least 5 years in a similar PMC commissioning role.
• Proven experience on EPC onshore brownfield projects and field production upgrades.
