Senior Compliance Officer (SM16/17) – Part‑Time in Dubai

About the role

Capitex is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer (SM16/17) to join its Dubai team on a part‑time basis, with a view to a full‑time permanent role. The position sits at the intersection of Financial Crime Compliance and Regulatory Compliance, providing both strategic oversight and hands‑on operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain regulatory compliance frameworks aligned with DFSA, FSRA and other UAE regulations.
• Lead AML, CTF, anti‑bribery & corruption and sanctions programmes, including risk assessments and client due‑diligence.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Conduct transaction monitoring, investigate suspicious activities and act as the main AML liaison for regulators.
• Provide compliance updates to senior management and board committees, and lead internal training initiatives.

Required profile

• Senior management experience with accountability for compliance function integrity.
• Hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day monitoring, reviews and investigations.
• Strong collaboration with front‑office, operations, legal and risk teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in AML, CTF, anti‑bribery & corruption and sanctions frameworks.
• Proficiency in KYC, CDD, EDD processes and transaction monitoring.
• Ability to draft and update compliance policies, procedures and manuals.
