Senior Corporate Counsel

About the role

1inch is building a DeFi ecosystem that empowers users to trade, hold and track digital assets securely. As Senior Corporate Counsel you will lead legal and compliance matters across the international group, shaping policies that support rapid growth and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously develop the global compliance framework, covering KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions, third‑party due diligence and ethics policies.
• Oversee risk‑based compliance decisions, investigations and regulator interactions, and report to RiskCo, ExCo and relevant Boards.
• Advise on corporate, commercial and cross‑border legal matters, including entity structuring, governance, intercompany arrangements and international expansion.
• Provide legal guidance for People/HR across the full employment lifecycle, including cross‑border employment models and investigations.
• Draft, review and negotiate vendor, customer and partner agreements, ensuring commercial risk is managed.
• Coordinate data‑protection and privacy compliance across all jurisdictions, translating legal requirements into practical controls.

Required profile

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience with a university law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent) and admission to practice in at least one recognized jurisdiction.
• Strong corporate, commercial and employment law background in an international, cross‑border environment.
• Proven experience advising People/HR and managing multiple legal entities across jurisdictions.
• Hands‑on experience building or operating compliance frameworks, including KYC/KYB, AML/CFT and sanctions.
