Senior Corrosion Engineer

About the role

The Senior Corrosion Engineer will provide specialist corrosion engineering support for ADNOC Upstream Onshore projects throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering and EPC phases. The position is office‑based and focuses on developing corrosion control strategies, material selection and integrity management solutions for safe and cost‑effective operation of upstream oil and gas facilities, including Early Production Facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement corrosion control strategies and material selection for upstream and EPF projects.
• Perform corrosion monitoring, risk‑based inspection (RBI) and integrity management in line with ADNOC and international standards.
• Support FEED, detailed engineering and EPC phases, ensuring compliance with sour service and HPHT requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of corrosion engineering experience in oil & gas, with at least 10 years on PMC projects.
• Hands‑on experience in FEED, detailed engineering and EPC for upstream and early production facilities.
• Experience with brownfield modifications, sour gas and HPHT environments is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Corrosion engineering and integrity management techniques.
• Material selection according to NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 and ADNOC standards.
• Knowledge of NACE SP0169, API 571, 580, 581, 570, 574, 579, RP 939.
• Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies and corrosion assessment.
• Corrosion monitoring, inhibition, cathodic protection and internal corrosion management.
• Use of corrosion modelling software and engineering document management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
