Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

MultiBank Group, a global financial institution headquartered in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its Technology division. This is a hands-on, technical role covering SIEM, EDR, PAM, DLP, cloud security, firewalls, identity management, threat detection and incident response. You will defend the organization, strengthen its security posture, conduct advanced threat hunting, automate operational workflows and ensure the secure operation of its global systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, tune and optimize SIEM platforms (Azure Sentinel, QRadar), including alert rules, dashboards, KQL queries and automated playbooks.
• Manage Microsoft Defender across endpoints, servers and cloud workloads, and conduct advanced threat hunting using SIEM, EDR and cloud telemetry.
• Build and maintain incident response playbooks integrated with SOAR tools.
• Implement and manage SSO, MFA, conditional access and Zero Trust policies; deploy, monitor and optimize PAM solutions (Delinea, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, ARCOS).
• Run regular access reviews and enforce RBAC controls.
• Deploy and manage DLP solutions across endpoints, email and cloud, and maintain data classification, labeling and encryption frameworks.
• Manage firewalls, IPS, WAF and web filtering/proxy systems (Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, Cisco, Forcepoint); harden servers, network devices and cloud workloads; implement segmentation and intrusion prevention.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, patch validation and attack surface assessments, working with IT, DevOps and Platform teams on remediation.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, PowerShell or Bash and integrate security tools into SOAR workflows.
• Support business continuity documentation and testing, and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or security operations roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, PAM, DLP, firewall/IPS/WAF technologies, IAM and data classification and encryption.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and CSPM tools.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001:2022 and NIST CSF; experience with threat intelligence feeds and proactive threat hunting.
• Desirable: certifications such as SC-200, SC-100, CISA, CCNP Security or CCNA; understanding of Zero Trust, SASE and SDP; exposure to red team/blue team exercises.
