Senior ELV Engineer

About the role

Dar is seeking a Senior ELV Engineer to lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across complex projects. The role involves ensuring all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements while integrating ELV solutions with the Building Management System (BMS).

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, inspect, test, and commission ELV systems, verifying compliance with construction drawings and contract documents.
• Review ELV designs, electrical drawings, reports, specifications, and material submissions at all project stages.
• Validate technical submittals, including design drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
• Ensure seamless integration of ELV systems with the BMS for monitoring, alarm management, and data collection.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and manage risks.
• Assist Quantity Surveyors in assessing completed works for payment certifications.
• Maintain ELV vendor and systems database and ensure adherence to DAR standards and QA/QC manuals.
• Participate in schedule, progress, coordination, and constructability meetings.
• Lead and mentor the ELV team, conducting performance evaluations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience supervising ELV installations and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of ELV standards, codes, and best practices.
• Proven ability to review and approve technical submittals and as‑built drawings.
• Experience integrating ELV systems with Building Management Systems.
• Leadership skills to manage and mentor a multidisciplinary ELV team.
