Senior Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Excelerate Energy, which develops LNG and power infrastructure solutions, is hiring a Senior Engineer for its infrastructure team in Dubai. The engineer supports current and future global projects, works closely with the Infrastructure, Operations and Commercial teams, and helps develop and implement new projects while supporting the engineering needs of existing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety is paramount in all work, applying the Excelerate Core Values to daily routines
• Manage infrastructure projects from feasibility through conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design and EPC phases, including onshore and offshore pipelines and LNG loading terminals
• Prepare technical scopes of work for site investigations, feasibility studies, and detailed designs, including cost estimates, schedules and risks
• Perform project management duties, managing external contractors and vendors and defining scope, schedule and budget
• Review submittals from consultants, check that deliverables meet agreement requirements and that designs follow the latest design rules and standards
• Monitor quality of subcontracted work and oversee fabrication, fit tests and system integration testing
• Support the permitting team with environmental and permitting documentation and take part in project risk analysis
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies and specifications

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Ocean or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design, project engineering and construction in marine or offshore industries
• Experience in gas transmission, pipeline (onshore and offshore) design and LNG loading terminal design, and familiarity with stage-gate project development processes
• Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) preferred; previous LNG or FSRU project experience preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the UAE

Required skills

• MS Office Suite and scheduling programs such as MS Project or Primavera
• AutoCAD and other engineering design software, including P&ID and GA drawings
• Strong communication skills, planning and time management
