Senior Engineer – Maintenance (Instrument & Control)

About the role

KBR Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Instrument & Control) to support an ADNOC project. The role provides expert engineering technical support to continuously enhance the performance and reliability of a wide range of instrument and control systems across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scope of work for major overhauls and service work orders, coordinating implementation with other sections.
• Carry out root‑cause analysis of system failures, coordinate with vendors, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and update the Alarm Management System (AMS) and plant model parameters.
• Provide technical support for SCADA, Fire & Gas, and all DCS interface systems.
• Review and recommend spare parts, non‑stock material and tools, and raise purchase requests.
• Lead technical studies, HAZOP, SIF reviews and ensure compliance with OT security policies.
• Optimize preventive maintenance frequencies, job plans and criticality assessments for field instruments and control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 + years of EPC experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 8 years in instrument & control maintenance.
• Experience on mega FEED/EPC projects (> $1 billion) and gas processing/NGL projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards and best engineering practices.
• Proficiency with CMMS (SAP/Maximo) and HSE procedures.
