Senior Engineering Manager – IMEA

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead Property Operations, Maintenance & Energy Conservation (POMEC) across IHG’s managed and leased hotels in the IMEA region. The role will assess current POMEC delivery, develop improvement plans and ensure alignment with IHG’s sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments of strategic properties to evaluate POMEC performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead a local champion team to collect data, consolidate reports and perform property‑level audits.
• Prepare and monitor action plans, ensuring timely implementation across hotels.
• Oversee accurate reporting of POMEC activities using Quore Property Management or other systems.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory codes and IHG brand standards, supporting annual quality evaluations.
• Drive energy, water, waste and carbon reduction initiatives and report through the Green Engage Program.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for engineering and maintenance champions.
• Support hotels during crises, offering technical guidance and coordination.
• Assist with CAPEX planning, FF&E, maintenance reserve projects and Property Improvement Plans.
• Consolidate performance updates on POMEC operations, compliance and sustainability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel engineering, maintenance or facilities management.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage large‑scale technical assessments.
• Strong knowledge of local statutory codes and international hotel brand standards.
• Experience in sustainability initiatives, including energy, water, waste and carbon reduction.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
