Senior Executive Officer – ADGM

About the role

Coinbase is expanding its regulated presence in the Middle East and needs a senior leader to drive its crypto strategy in Abu Dhabi. You will build and lead the local team, manage regulatory relationships, and establish the operational foundation for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Abu Dhabi team, overseeing Coinbase’s Middle East crypto business and ADGM legal entity.
• Develop and execute the UAE crypto strategy in collaboration with the Dubai/VARA team.
• Grow tokenization and related opportunities under ADGM, managing budgeting and resources.
• Establish governance, compliance programs, and ethical leadership aligned with global standards.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with ADGM and FSRA, cultivating trusted regulator relationships.

Required profile

• 7+ years senior‑level experience in financial services, including securities.
• Deep knowledge of ADGM/FSRA regulatory requirements (best execution, custody, market conduct, AML).
• Proven operational oversight experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders regionally and globally.
• Strong judgment in risk assessment and excellent communication skills.

• Understanding of crypto/Web3, tokenization, DeFi and digital asset markets.
