Senior Executive Vice President – Compliance

About the role

The Senior Executive Vice President – Compliance will lead the implementation of international regulatory recommendations and ensure the bank’s adherence to sanctions and embargoes across all IBG branches.

Key responsibilities

• Implement recommendations from bodies such as the United Nations, European Union, FATF, Basel Committee and Wolfsberg.
• Maintain and continuously update the bank’s sanctions matrix for OFAC, EU, UN and other embargoes.
• Provide compliant solutions to the business, identify strategic risks and intervene to stop non‑compliant transactions.
• Assure senior management that branch processes and controls meet regulatory requirements.
• Escalate critical compliance issues promptly to avoid investigations, fines or reputational damage.
• Assist business units in obtaining regulatory approvals for new branches, product launches, outsourcing, M&A and other initiatives.
• Support head‑office compliance projects, contribute input, conduct investigations and roll‑out system initiatives across branches.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of international regulatory frameworks, sanctions regimes and best‑practice compliance standards.
• Proven ability to work with senior management and business units to embed compliance controls.
• Strong analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities with a proactive escalation mindset.
• Experience in coordinating regulatory approvals for banking products and operations.
