Senior Financial Reporting Accountant – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a fast‑growing boutique asset manager operating in emerging‑market commodities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will help strengthen reporting processes, improve controls, and support the finance team’s business partnering capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close for allocated entities, delivering accurate group, client and third‑party reports.
• Review management accounts, P&L statements and balance‑sheet reconciliations prepared by junior staff.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and supporting schedules in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and recharge calculations.
• Oversee accruals, pre‑payments, deferred income and other complex accounting estimates.
• Post journals, perform reconciliations and raise invoices.
• Act as primary contact for year‑end audits, coordinating information flow and handling auditor queries.
• Support corporation tax, R&D tax credit and other regulatory submissions with external advisers.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings and regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Qualified accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA).
• 1‑2 years of experience in a financial reporting role within financial services, preferably alternative asset management.
• Strong technical grounding in reporting, tax and audit.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, global environment.
