Senior Hedge Fund Recruiter

About the role

Point One Talent, a global executive search firm working with leading hedge funds and proprietary trading firms, is looking for an experienced recruiter in Dubai with a proven track record of placing Portfolio Managers and/or senior research professionals. The role involves high-value mandates and building relationships with investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and placing Portfolio Managers, senior analysts, researchers and other senior investment professionals with hedge funds and proprietary trading firms.
• Building trusted candidate relationships, understanding their investment approach, track record and career ambitions.
• Managing searches from initial approach through interviews, offer negotiation and onboarding.
• Developing client relationships and identifying opportunities across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
• Building deep market knowledge in a chosen strategy or specialism and sharing market intelligence with colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven track record of placing Portfolio Managers and/or senior research talent with leading hedge funds or proprietary trading firms.
• Strong knowledge of a specialist market, whether discretionary or systematic.
• Understanding of investment strategies, team structures and compensation.
• Credibility and discretion to build relationships with senior candidates and clients.
• Thoughtful, persistent approach to finding hard-to-reach talent, commercial ambition and a collaborative mindset.
• An interest in building a long-term career in Dubai; candidates already in the UAE or considering relocation are welcome.
