Senior HVAC Discipline Engineer

About the role

The Senior Discipline Engineer – HVAC will lead HVAC design and detailed engineering for onshore and offshore EPC projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design activities, including heat load calculations, ventilation, pressurisation and smoke control systems.
• Prepare and review design calculations, equipment sizing, layouts, duct routing and material take‑offs.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, technical sub‑mittals and equipment data sheets.
• Support procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning phases.
• Resolve technical queries, RFIs and design‑related NCRs and attend design review meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of HVAC design experience in EPC projects, preferably oil & gas, offshore, marine or industrial.
• Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• HVAC design calculations (heat load, ventilation, pressurisation, smoke control).
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, API standards.
• Proficiency with HAP software and AutoCAD drafting.
• Experience using 3D design tools such as PDMS or E3D.
• Strong capability to review vendor technical submissions and datasheets.
