Senior Internal Auditor (Contract)

About the role

A prestigious, well-established UAE-based conglomerate with over four decades of history and operations across eight sectors is expanding its Internal Audit team. It is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, on a 3 to 6 months extendable contract with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role. Candidates on a Family Sponsor/Freelance Visa who can start immediately are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit projects according to the annual audit plan, conducting risk-based audits from planning to final reporting.
• Engage with stakeholders in kick-off meetings, status updates and exit discussions.
• Develop risk and control matrices, sampling memos and audit programs.
• Identify internal control gaps and give strategic recommendations, then deliver audit reports and monitor their implementation.
• Perform stock counts across various UAE locations.
• Support presentations for the Board Audit Committee and handle special reviews, compliance checks and consultancy projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA preferred, CIA/CISA a plus.
• Senior Auditor: minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 3 in internal audit or internal control advisory.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 firm is a must.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

What we offer

• Salary of AED 12,000 to 22,000 per month.
• Extendable contract with possible conversion to a full-time role.
