Senior IT Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior IT Procurement Officer will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for the Information Technology department in Abu Dhabi. This role acts as the senior buyer for all IT categories, ensuring timely acquisition, optimal vendor relationships, and compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters, solicit proposals, and manage vendor communication and negotiations.
• Prepare procurement plans with end users, create contracts, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate vendor registration and account updates between IT and the Vendor Management Compliance Programme (VMCP).
• Utilise SAP Ariba for RFPs, contract workspaces, and reverse auctions, ensuring best use of the platform.
• Lead contract drafting, review, execution, and maintain the contract database with proper archiving.
• Support internal customers across categories, attend meetings, prepare reports, and ensure audit points are closed.

Required profile

• UAE national with proven IT procurement experience or a background in IT.
• Preferred CIPS qualification or active membership; banking experience is a plus.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to act as a subject‑matter expert in stakeholder meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP Ariba procurement modules.
• Demonstrated expertise in IT procurement processes and vendor management.
