Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

About the role

A product company in stealth mode is building its engineering team to develop and launch a new product, and is looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer in Dubai. The engineer will design, build and launch the product using Java on the backend and React on the frontend, owning features from technical design through to production and helping set technical standards as the team grows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript
• Design and integrate REST APIs and event-driven services
• Contribute to system design and architecture decisions
• Improve performance, reliability and security across the platform
• Write well-tested code and take part in code reviews
• Support CI/CD pipelines and production releases
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the team

Required profile

• Significant professional software engineering experience at a senior level
• Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong frontend experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with microservices and API design
• Track record of shipping and supporting software in production
• Clear communication and a strong sense of ownership

• Nice to have: Kafka or another messaging platform, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code, startup or early-stage product company experience
