Senior Legal Counsel

About the role
We are partnering with a leading Abu Dhabi‑based financial services organisation that is expanding its legal team. The firm seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to provide high‑level advice on financial services, regulatory matters, governance and complex strategic issues.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver expert legal counsel on financial services regulations and compliance.
- Advise senior management on governance frameworks and strategic initiatives.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Support the growth of the legal function by mentoring junior lawyers.
Required profile
- Arabic‑speaking lawyer with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
- Proven track record advising on financial services, regulation, governance and complex strategic matters.
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to work in a fast‑moving environment.
