Senior Manager, MEA & Turkey (Legal)

About the role

DePuy Synthes, a Johnson & Johnson company, is seeking a Senior Manager to provide legal leadership for its operations across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. Based in Dubai, the role will support distributor and indirect market activities, ensuring commercial initiatives are compliant and strategically sound.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal support for distributor and indirect market operations, advising on structuring, appointment, management and termination of distributor relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including distribution, agency, channel partner, sales, supply, marketing and service arrangements.
• Enable business growth in distributor markets by managing legal risk in new channel models and delivering pragmatic, scalable legal solutions.
• Manage disputes and performance issues with distributors and channel partners, including escalation, enforcement of contractual rights and coordination with external counsel.
• Offer legal guidance to business leaders across MEA and Turkey to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
• Oversee legal risk assessment, mitigation strategies and compliance initiatives across assigned markets.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, partnering with commercial, finance, compliance and other functions.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies, managing outside‑counsel activities and ensuring effective handling of legal matters.
• Drive consistency and efficiency in legal processes by developing policies, procedures and tools.
• Lead regional legal projects and initiatives aligned with business priorities and organizational strategy.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, providing proactive guidance and training to impacted teams.
