Senior Manager Retail Operations and Technology

About the role

MAIR Group is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead the technology landscape supporting grocery retail store operations, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail modules such as Store Commerce. The role manages, enhances and supports D365 Retail applications and related store technology, combining technical expertise with retail business knowledge, especially in grocery.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage D365 Commerce/Retail modules, act as Solution Architect and lead the team on enhancements, upgrades and troubleshooting
• Translate business requirements into scalable D365 solutions and ensure application performance, stability, security and availability
• Drive adoption of digital tools and evaluate new Microsoft/D365 capabilities for automation and process improvement
• Lead integrations between D365 and payment gateways, ERPs, e-commerce, loyalty systems and third-party store apps, and troubleshoot integration failures
• Act as IT Workstream Lead for POS, working with Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and IT on POS, pricing, promotions, returns, loyalty and payment processing
• Own production support and application management of D365 Retail, including incident, problem, change and release management, and set SLAs/KPIs
• Lead retail transformation and system implementation projects, manage budgets and timelines, and drive change management and user adoption

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Retail Management, IT or a related field
• 10-15+ years of experience in retail operations and/or retail technology
• Hands-on experience with retail technology systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce or similar, and as a Solution Architect for retail tech
• Experience with Azure integration technologies, APIs, middleware and cloud services
• Knowledge of SQL/database concepts, application monitoring, performance optimization and production support
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, source control and release management
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and change management skills; experience in large-scale retail transformations

Required skills

• POS and store technology configuration, extensions, offline/online operations and store hardware integrations
• Solution architecture for third-party integrations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure Integration Services, APIs, middleware and messaging
