Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) – Greenfield

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) will lead the engineering, design review and technical management of static equipment for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield projects, ensuring compliance with standards and project schedules across all phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, separators, and pig launchers.
• Prepare and review design basis, specifications, datasheets and technical requisitions.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, fabrication drawings, calculations and material selections.
• Coordinate with vendors, support procurement, and manage technical bid evaluations.
• Interface with process, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation, corrosion and HSE disciplines; participate in HAZOP, design and constructability reviews.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, construction, installation, FAT, mechanical completion and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred); Chartered Engineer or equivalent certification desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience in oil & gas, with at least 8 years on offshore greenfield projects.
• Proven experience with ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or major EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of offshore production facilities and related codes and standards.

Required skills

• Software: PV Elite, Compress, HTRI, Aspen EDR (preferred), MS Office Suite, SmartPlant Systems.
• Codes & Standards: ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 510, API 650, API 660, API 661, API 620, TEMA Standards, NACE Requirements, ADNOC Engineering Standards.
