Senior MEP Project Manager

About the role

PECO MEP, an electromechanical contracting company founded in 2007 and based in Dubai, is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior MEP Project Manager. The role oversees end-to-end delivery of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works across multiple projects, from planning and scheduling through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP construction projects, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets and quality standards.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, execution, monitoring and progress reporting.
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting and other MEP installation works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, UAE regulations and authority standards.
• Review drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical submissions and shop drawings; monitor costs, variations, procurement and subcontractor performance.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings, and ensure QA/QC, health, safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Monitor milestones and take corrective action on delays and resource constraints.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, inspections, authority approvals, snagging and final handover.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, risk assessments and other management reports.
• Mentor project engineers, site engineers and supervisors, and coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural and structural activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant UAE experience in the MEP construction industry.
• Proven experience managing major MEP projects in high-rise residential, commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, MEP regulations, authority requirements and project specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants, budgets and schedules.

Required skills

• Preferred: strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage and firefighting.
• Preferred: experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Preferred: knowledge of quality management systems, HSE requirements and project risk management.
