Senior Motion Simulator Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a highly motivated Senior Motion Simulator Engineer to maintain, calibrate and continuously improve advanced navigation production and test facilities. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime and upholding the highest calibration standards for inertial navigation products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support production test facilities and associated test equipment.
• Develop and execute calibration, verification, and maintenance procedures.
• Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Generate maintenance documentation, calibration instructions, reports and work procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, support commissioning and qualification of new test equipment.

Required profile

• Foundation Degree, HND, Advanced Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience providing calibration and maintenance support in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with motion simulators, precision test equipment and automated test systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical issues.
